Sixers vs Bulls Player Grades:
Sixers Fall to Bulls 113-111
Philadelphia 76ers Player Grades
Starters
Tyrese Maxey
Maxey was absolutely incredible, scoring 39 points and keeping the Sixers ahead for most of the game. He put the team on his back in the first quarter with 12 points and continued attacking all night.
The fact that they blew a 24-point lead isn't on him. One of his best performances of the season.
VJ Edgecombe
VJ grabbed his first double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. The shooting wasn't great at 33%, but he competed hard on the glass and made plays defensively with 2 steals.
Kelly Oubre Jr.
Oubre had 18 points and 3 blocks, playing solid two-way basketball. He helped build that big lead early but couldn't stop the collapse in the fourth.
Joel Embiid
Embiid had 20 points and 5 blocks, but he went 1-for-9 from three and struggled down the stretch. The defense wasn't there when it mattered most in the fourth quarter.
Jabari Walker
Walker only scored 2 points on 1-for-5 shooting. He grabbed 5 boards and had 2 blocks, but the offensive production just isn't there.
Bench
Quentin Grimes
Grimes had 13 points and 3 steals, but he panicked and dribbled out the clock on the final possession instead of getting a shot up. That's inexcusable in that situation and cost them a chance to win.
Trendon Watford
Watford scored 7 points efficiently but picked up too many offensive fouls down the stretch. Solid contribution but the turnovers hurt.
Adem Bona
Bona didn't score but grabbed 5 boards and had 2 blocks. His defensive presence was felt even without points on the board.
Jared McCain
McCain went 0-for-5 in his return from injury. Tough night for the rookie, but this is expected coming back from injury. He'll be fine as time goes on.
